Applecross is on the West Coast of Scotland in an area known as the Applecross Peninsula. It is one of the remotest parts of Britain and it only became possible to drive all around the coast from the mid 1970s. For the most part this is single track so leave extra time for your journey and don't expect your mobile phone to work here. There is only one shop in Applecross, which must make Applecross High Street the smallest anywhere. We make up for this with some pictures to tease your imagination. Not pictured is the campsite, which also has a bakery and its own tearoom.
